Zack Barlow won his first ABT Classic title by defeating Tim Frenz 209-193. John Fraterrigo opened the stepladder finals by defeating Angelo Martorana 200-162. Eric Peterson then eliminated John Fraterrigo 209-166 before falling to Zack Barlow 251-183. The championship match was close from start to finish but in the end it was Zack Barlow with just enough to hold off Tim Frenz 209-193. Champion’s Profile: Zack Barlow is 46 years old and employed as a postal worker. He is married to Janice and they have five children, Kristin, Brian, Brandon, Nicholas and Zerrick. Zack started bowling in junior leagues and currently bowls in the Monday morning postal league at AMF Airport Lanes. He has a high game of 279 and a 742 high series to his credit. Zack credits Dave Lindstrom as having helped him to turn his game around. He thanked his wife for letting him bowl, AMF Mil-Sher Lanes for hosting the tournament, and the ABT for providing an opportunity for average bowlers to compete. Zack said he enjoyed the fast pace of the tournament and that there were a lot of good bowlers there. CONGRATULATIONS Zack!Tournament Notes: Congratulations to Steve Highland who won a Storm Thunder Struck by posting the high series on Saturday. Congratulations also to Tim Frenz who has been “graduated” to our Masters division. In his first two events Tim has demonstrated the ability that makes him too strong for our Classic division and more suited for the Masters. We congratulate him on his fine bowling and wish him continued success in the Masters. Nice bowling Tim!
