Darryl Miles won his first ABT title by defeating John Fraterrigo 203-177 at AMF Allie Brandt Lanes. In match one of the stepladder finals John Fraterrigo defeated Antonio Speed Sr. 180-164 to advance to the title match against top seed Darryl Miles. In the championship match Darryl opened in the first 2 frames allowing John to take a quick 11-pin lead. Darryl came roaring back with a 5-bagger in frames 3-7 then clinched the match by converting the 6-7-10 split in the 8th as he went on to win by the final score of 203-177. Champion’s Profile: Darryl Miles is 53 years old and retired from Delphi. Currently single, he has 2 grown sons, Brett and Bart. Darryl has been bowling since age 10 and currently bowls league at AMF Allie Brandt. He has a high game of 299 and a 740 high series to his credit. Darryl was using a Brunswick Detonator drilled by Bruce Heim at the National Bowling Store. He thanked his sons for their support and dedicated his win to his late dad. Darryl closed his interview by saying, “I’m glad I joined, everything about the ABT is just great”.
