Vicky Dixon won her first ABT title by defeating Michael Kwiatkowski 218-211 at Voelker’s Lanes. In game one of the stepladder finals Michael Kwiatkowski defeated John Dixon 203-137 to advance to the championship match against top seed Vicky Dixon. The title match came down to the final frame. Needing a mark to win Michael chopped a bucket leaving Vicky the winner by the final score of 218-211. Champion’s Profile: Vicky Dixon is 34 years old and employed as a customer service manager for HDM Hydraulics. She is married to John and they have 3 children Katee 15, Joe 14 and Amanda 11. Vicky has been bowling since age 5 and currently bowls league at Voelker’s. She has a high game of 278 and a 606 high series to her credit. Vicky was using a Storm Attitude Shift drilled by Brian Ruszala at Big Daddy’s Pro Shop inside Kenmore Lanes. She credits her parents, John Dixon, Brian Ruszala and Dan Herkey as having helped her to develop her game. Vicky thanked the ABT and Voelker’s Lanes for having the tournament, her family and friends for their support and Brian Ruszala for a great job in drilling her bowling balls. She said her winnings would go towards a family vacation. Vicky also said that she likes the ABT format, especially the separate division events.
