Gregory (Booker) Wells won his first ABT title by defeating Ike Layton Jr. 221-200 at Manor Lanes. Stepladder Finals Match One: Booker Wells defeated Brian Hoock 200-185. Championship Match: Booker wells defeated Ike Layton Jr. 221-200. Champion’s Profile: Booker Wells is a 50-year-old fitness instructor. He is married to Alison and they have an 18-year-old daughter named Bianca. Booker has been bowling for 30 years and currently bowls leagues at Tonawanda, Thruway and in the St. Johns Travel League. His high game is 300 and he has a 779 high series to his credit. He was using a Brunswick Ultimate Inferno drilled by Sue Jeziorski at AMF Thruway Lanes. Booker credits Liz Johnson as having helped him with his game. He thanked Eric Laschinger and Brian Hoock for their support. Booker said he loves the ABT and that it's the best thing ever in Buffalo.
