*** Smith and Ricketts Win Doubles Title ***

Dennis Smith and Gerry Ricketts combined for a 1003 handicap total to capture the $500.00 first prize in our doubles event at Manor Lanes.

Dennis Smith is 37 years old and employed as a district loss prevention manager for A. J. Wright. His significant other is Tina. Dennis has been bowling for 12 years and currently bowls leagues at Tonawanda and AMF Thruway Lanes. He has a high game of 289 and a 696 high series to his credit. Dennis was using a Hammer Black Widow Venom drilled by Mike Hanes at Tonawanda Bowling Center. He thanked Andy Rettig for helping him to improve his game. Dennis said his winnings would be used for a new ball.

Gerry Ricketts is a 39-year-old carpenter employed by Colvin Draperies. He is married to Carol and they have two sons Ronald and Robert. Gerry has been bowling for 15 years and bowls league at Manor Lanes. He has a high game of 279 and a 699 high series to his credit. Gerry was using a Brunswick Alternate Inferno drilled by Doug Heim at the National Bowling Store. He thanked Brian and Jim Russo and said that his winnings would be used to pay bills.

Both bowlers thanked each other for teaming up and said that they enjoyed the doubles format.
